Firstly, a big welcome to my blog. I will be writing blogs regularly with details of events and opportunities that I have coming up as well as tips for singing and congratulations for any of the wonderful things my students are currently doing.

What's happening?
In August, I will be running my first ever Summer Intensive. This will involve a group of my students working in singing lessons with me all week before taking part in a performance at the end of the week. Places on my Summer Intensive are currently booked up but do let me know if are interested and I will add you to the waiting list.
You can now book for Group Singing lessons from September. These will be at Hampton Hub Club on a Wednesday and will be open to children ages 7-18. For more information feel free to have a look on my Group Singing Lesson Page. I am so excited for this new venture and to continue to build a community of singers.
Ellie's Top 5 Tips
For a healthy Voice
With the constant change in weather at the moment and the pollen count being so high, it is common for our voices to be feeling tired and sore. Here are my top tips to keep the voice feeling healthy and ready for singing!
Water: Drink as much water as you can. I would recommend 2-3 litres a day. This will keep your voice feeling hydrated and healthy.
Echinacea: This is my saving grace whenever I start to feel a cold coming on and I couldn't recommend it enough. Put a few drops in some water every morning.
Manuka Honey: Not only great for soothing the voice, Manuka Honey is great for your health. Pop some in your porridge in the morning or in a cup of tea. I like to add it to lemon and ginger tea when my voice is feeling tired.
Steaming: When your voice is feeling tired or sore, steaming is a great way to hydrate the vocal chords. I have a Dr Nelson steamer which I use every day to keep my voice healthy.
Rest: Last but not least, rest! The more you sleep, the healthier your voice will feel. Try and get a good sleep every night and rest your voice when feeling tired.

😊 This is great!
