As we approach the end of another academic year, I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for your continued support and a big welcome to my new students. I am forever grateful for being able to do a job that I love and am so happy to be building such a friendly community of singers. I couldn't do my job without any of you and appreciate every one of you!
What's happening?
Last month, I announced that I would be starting group singing lessons in September. I am so excited to share that I will also be starting a female choir. This will happen on a Wednesday evening from 7.30pm-9.00pm at Hampton Hub Club.
Follow the link below to get a better idea of how the choir will run! Discounts are in place for family members of any current students. If you are unsure, let me know and we can have a chat about it. I am thrilled to be finally making this step after years of planning!
I am still accepting students for group singing lessons as well. Any questions let me know!

Created By Vocal Reels
Recently, I recorded a couple of songs with Ian at Created By Vocal Reels. I had such a fun experience working with Ian and really enjoyed the process of being in a recording studio and watching how Ian creates a track. I recorded two songs with so if you'd like to have a listen, follow the link:
If you are interested in recording some songs, I couldn't recommend Ian enough. I can put you in contact or you can follow him on:

Ellie's Top 5 Tips
For tackling performance anxiety
Performance anxiety can be a challenging experience and is something I have suffered with in the past. A lot of my students struggle with nerves and are always asking how to deal with them. There are no quick fixes and the more you can perform the easier it will become. Here are five top tips for dealing with performance anxiety:
Prepare and Practice: Familiarise yourself with the material, rehearse your performance, and practise, practise, practise. The more prepared you are, the more secure and confident you will feel when it's time to perform.
Deep Breathing: When feeling anxious, deep breathing can help calm your nerves. Practice deep diaphragmatic breathing—inhaling deeply through your nose, holding for a few seconds, and exhaling slowly through your mouth.
Relaxation Techniques: When we are nervous, our muscles can tense up and this is really unhelpful for singing. When working on breathing, really focus on relaxing any muscles that feel tense. Pay particular attention to your jaw, tummy, shoulders and knees.
Reframe Negative Thoughts: Negative thoughts can add to performance anxiety. Replace statements like "I'm going to fail" with "I am prepared, and I will do my best." By consciously reframing your thoughts, you can reduce anxiety and create a more positive mindset.
Visualisation: Visualisation involves mentally rehearsing your performance in vivid detail, imagining a successful outcome, and experiencing positive emotions associated with it. Spend some time visualising your performance, imagining yourself succeeding and feeling calm and confident throughout
