The Singing with Ellie choir brings together women with a range of vocal experience to sing weekly together and work towards performances throughout the year.
Details
Each session runs on a Wednesday evening during term time from 7.30pm-9.00pm at Twickenham United Reformed Church, First Cross Road, Twickenham, TW2 5QA.
The session involves a vocal warm up working on breathing, pitching, phrasing, projection and clarity. We then focus on learning songs continuing to work on vocal technique as well as working on harmonies and ensemble singing.
Each year we have at least two performance opportunities and cater for everyone whether you are confident enough to have a go at some solos or whether you would rather focus on harmony work within the ensemble. You don't have to audition to be a member.
The Singing with Ellie female choir is not just about the singing. The environment is supportive and friendly and just as much a social occasion as it is a choir.
Prices
Choir is paid as a termly fee of £136.
Each term runs between 10-11 weeks during school term time.
Autumn term: September-December
Spring term: January-March
Summer term: April-July
This includes each session during the term, access to sheet music and harmonies for practising, social events and opportunities for performances.
We perform in July and December at venues around the local area. Most recently, we performed at The Exchange Theatre in Twickenham
